Tattoo the World: On Netflix Now!

Ed Hardy: Tattoo the World is a fantastic documentary about Ed Hardy’s life and artwork. It follows him from the very start, right up until the documentary’s release in 2010, and is 100% from the horse’s mouth, packing as much detail in as possible in an hour and 15 minutes. Everyone should see it- and if you haven’t seen it for a little while, like I hadn’t, you may be happy to know that it’s now on Netflix!

I’m not sure exactly how long it’s been up on Netflix, so this may not be news to some people, though considering the fact most people only use it to watch Breaking Bad, I’m betting it’s news to most. The documentary is truly fantastic, and downright inspirational, whether or not you’re a tattooer! It talks about Ed’s first interest in tattooing, when he used to draw fake tattoos on his friends all the time and get inspiration from ‘wanted’ posters at the post office, his art exhibitions, and his transition into tattooing itself. He also talks about those tattooers who helped him along the way and inspired him. It’s thorough, it’s interesting, and overall it’s just fun to watch.

Admittedly, I do have the American Netflix installed on my Xbox. It’s easy to do it; give it a google if you want. It doesn’t look like it’s on UK and Ireland’s Netflix. There is a downloadable version on iTunes, though, which costs around the same price as a month’s subscription to Netlix, so that may be a better option if you’re not already using Netflix.

This is a must see- get on it as soon as you can!
