Knowledge is Power
If you read this blog often, you’ll know how much I hate Facebook. One thing I always see on the rare occasions I log in is at least one picture of a terrible tattoo, normally captioned with the words “my next tattoo”, or some stupid crap like that. It reminds me why I hate people. Most people are oblivious to what a good tattoo is, which isn’t their fault, but I can’t help but be a miserable cow with stuff like Facebook.
You hover your cursor over the ‘comment’ button, and think twice about it. No one needs an argument over something on Facebook. Sometimes I can’t help but think, ‘I’d love a way to show these people how to get a good clean tattoo, but I don’t want to actually speak to these morons’.
It’s a good job there’s a new page on Facebook that you can share cool stuff from, straight from your wall, to spread the word in one click.
This new Facebook page, called Tattoo Education and Public Awareness, is by professional tattooers who really know their shit. They aim to reach out to a worldwide audience, to give them the information which they need before getting tattooed. From the page:
Good morning folks,
You are possibly wondering how we professionals are going to reach you. Well over time this will become very apparent.
In short it will be in every way…
On here, posters in studios, leaflets, presence at conventions, downloadable PDF’s, a blog, a webpage, twitter, facebook, media, schools.
Education is the way forward… if you need it in any language, it will be translated, British Sign Language, written dyslexic friendly and even for anyone who can not read we will have you covered also.
So welcome to the first steps of a bigger journey.
I think this is looking really cool, and I’d encourage you to ‘like’ the page by clicking here. Once there is more uploaded, do your bit and share their information to your friends. It’s good to share. ;)
