Introducing the Tattoosday UK Android App!

So here’s a cool little update for you guys: we’ve gone all technical once again at Tattoosday UK, with a new Android App!

This labour of love has been up for a few days now, but since the whole thing relies on a knowledge of RSS feeds and Flickr updates, I thought I’d wait a few days before putting it on the website in case there was something wrong. It seems to work well though, so now you can download it yourself!

Right now, there’s a feed for the website, a convention calendar and a couple of wallpapers for your phone or tablet. In a couple of months when I have a little more time, I’ll be able to add in lots of other goodies and extra bits and bobs though, so keep a lookout for any updates!

Here’s how the home screen should look on your device:

This app doesn’t seem to be in the Android Market quite yet, but thankfully website Appmakr have a link you can go to to download it. The Tattoosday UK app is a free download, and does not contain any malicious software. If you’re not sure about downloading, you can install free virus protection through the Android App Market. To download the app, go to this address via your device:

To make things even easier, you can also take a snapshot of this QR Code on your phone to download the app.

This application is something I’ve worked pretty hard with, so I hope you guys all enjoy it! If you notice any bugs or things you’d like to see improved, feel free to contact the site.
