The Sugar Project starts TOMORROW!

The above image is Brenden Jones’’ skull for this year. If you like it, buy it! Accept no imitations.

Tomorrow, the Sugar Project will make its great return to eBay- and hopefully your wallets. For those of you just tuning in, this is a charity auction where tattooers all over the world donate one skull which they have made their own for the sake of a charity. Every skull gets to the artist the same, but when it leaves their studio it’s completely unique and wonderful- and then you’re free to buy it! This year’s charity is RISE, which helps victims of domestic abuse in Brighton & Hove and across West Sussex. A good cause, then!

The submissions I’ve seen this year have really been amazing. I really like Brenden Jones’ skull, which looks like it plays music from your MP3 player and reminds me a lot of the badges the characters in The Watchmen wore. Very cool. Michael Rose also has a Mr potato Head style skull which I absolutely adore, and Ben Stone’s golf skull is super fun!

If you want to see all of the skulls and put in a bid for one or two of them, you can do so tomorrow! If you click here you can see the Facebook events page which tells you everything you need to know.

This is a really great charity auction, and every penny goes to a good cause. If those of you readers who I’ve spoken to are a good representation of everyone who reads this blog, I know you’ll be generous. Thanks very much.

Once again, click here.
