Horiyoshi III: The Skin Carver

Right now on The Nowness, you can see a short film by Johnnie Shand Kydd about everyone’s favourite Japanese artist, Horiyoshi III. The video is absolutely fantastic, and shows off some of the best pieces Horiyoshi III has done, along with his own take on things such as motifs in tattooing, tattoos in society and his own original methods of his work. This video is so good, even I shut my mouth for a while as I played it (which some cheeky so-and-sos will be amazed at!). The video’s behind the link, thanks to Needles and Sins for the info.
