Tattoo.TV Last Week

Seriously, Monday, didn’t I tell you never to show your face again? Well, back to work then, here’s this week’s roundup of Tattoo.TV’s news page. As always, Tattoosday UK is not affiliated with Tattoo.TV in any way, this is just some shit I wrote for someone else which you might like.

Roy Boy’s Big Cats Seized

You can file this story under “shit you couldn’t make up”- a tattoo artist in Gary, Indiana, had a shocker last week when police seized four tigers from his tattoo studio. You read that right: four tigers. I’m not just talking about small ones either. Don’t believe me? Check it out here.

An Unusual Contest: Design Her Tattoo!

As part of the Skin exhibit going on in London, one brave woman is letting the Wellcome Collective hold a competition where you can design a tattoo she’ll wear for life. Of course, there are limitations, she’s not that silly ;) You reckon you’re good enough to win? Well, you’d better check out the story here to find out more information!

We Are Artists, Say Georgian Tattooists

This is probably my favourite story this week. A bunch of tattoo artists in Augusta, Georgia, decided to present the best of their work to the local Mayor this weekend, to show those in the community that what they do is most definitely a form of art. Fantastic stuff! Read more here.

Tattoo.TV has a lot more to offer than just news and features, by the way. They have a constantly growing community where you can chill out and have a chat with some of the best artists, collectors and downright groovy people. It’s a lot cooler than Facebook, and you’ll make some great new friends. Click here to go to Tattoo.TV’s homepage and see what the fuss is all about.
