Tattoo.TV News Roundup!
I was actually going to apologise for the lack up updates over the past fortnight, but now I’ve had a look at what’s been happening on Tattoo.TV’s news page, there’s more there than I thought! Don’t you love it when that happens? As always, Tattoosday UK is not affiliated with Tattoo.TV in any way, this is just something I wrote for someone else which you might like.
Chad Koeplinger posted up some awesome examples of his new flash set on his blog, in between travelling from here and there to everywhere. It all looks really cool, and very much like the awesome work we’ve all come to expect from Chad. This new flash set should definitely be something you’re excited about. Find out more here.
Chris O’Donnell Opens New Brooklyn Studio!
This is news I sort of find bittersweet to be honest- I’m really happy that Chris O’Donnell’s opened a new studio, and part owns it, it’s a cool thing for him. On the other hand, this means there’ll be no more of his work on the Tattoo of the Day app by New York Adorned! Boo! You can find out everything you need to know about this groovy new studio here.
Tattooing and the First Amendment: An Update!
Last week also saw the awesome news about tattooing and the law-ah. In a nutshell, tattooing is now recognised in America as something which falls under free speech, which is protected by the First Amendment over there. This is great news for artists such as Johnny Anderson, who started this whole chain of events off. For more info, and the spark notes on what happened previously, click here.
A Chance to Work for New York Adorned!
This is the third news piece this fortnight about New York Adorned or its alumni, but they’re just always so busy with cool things that it’s pretty hard not to write about them, to be honest. This is why studios should keep blogs, because people like myself find them and like to write about them! Anyway yes, if you dis photography, this is a great opportunity for you. Intrigued? The Family Business Release New Book
There isn’t much to be said here which I didn’t say yesterday, as I am very excited at the thought of getting my hands on this book! You can find information on this book at the following groovy places:
Engel’s DVD Shows you How It’s Done!
Andy Engel has released a new DVD, and it looks really cool. I had to play around with Google Translate to find out enough about it, as Andy is from Germany, but thankfully if you’re looking to order this, the page you can order it from has English translations too- phew! It looks like it is for artists only, so you can imagine a lot of tech-talk in there and some tips on making your portraits really stand out. Fantastic stuff! Find out how to get it here.
